AboutDurian. Langsat. Duku. Nangka. Jambu. And more. It doesn’t matter what size, shape or colour the fruit is. As long as the fruit grows in our soil, we’ll be celebrating it via Makanlah Buah-buahan Tempatan Exhibition — a collaborative endeavor of local designers to promote local fruits as well as to rally the nation to appreciate (and consume) locally crafted art. After all, art is also one of the fruits of our homeland.
OverviewIn conjunction with KL Design Week 2011, we'd invited 20 over artists and designers to reinterpret the theme 'Makanlah Buah-Buahan Tempatan' and have it exhibited in Publika. And we received an overwhelming response from the public.
This year, we are making the exhibition even bigger by inviting more talented local artists/designers. The exhibition will be on tour in 3 major cities including Pulau Penang, Malacca & Kuala Lumpur in early 2013. Besides, the event offers a wide range of exciting workshops and activities, from artists’ talks and discussions, to hands on creative activities and the like to bring out the inner artist in everyone.
Tentative Venues Penang, Malacca, Kuala Lumpur.
